On the 23rd December, we took 5 of our adult Bengals for annual echocardiographic screening and we're pleased to report that in all 5 cases, Normal echocardiographic structure and function was reported, with no evidence of HCM or other structural cardiac disease. The reports can be found below.

Our cats are screened for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) once they reach 1 - 2 years old and then are screened yearly thereafter. Hypertrophic Cardiomyopath means enlargement or thickening of the myocardium – the muscular heart wall.
